Mac osx 10.7.2, usb DMX Pro, not working!!

oh oh, i did exactly as you said, it asked me to replace the file DLight inside the resources folder so i said yes, now it will not run at all...

keep that config because i don't know yet how i can manage to get it working in a normal way...

the problem i'm facing is i don't want to remove from your computer ftdi drivers because other hardware can use them... in the other hand, i didn't see anybody in lighting people that use them except for usbPro utility...

i'll try to find a way to unload ftdi driver without the applescript that obviously seems to not working.

hope you'll enjoy DL, and please be aware of testing new beta release when they come out.

i believe there's a thread on the forum called 'Message Show Control' or 'midi Show Control' about that.

there's another thing i would like to try with you before messing up everything.
attached zip contain script file i normaly use to unload ftdi drivers. my guess is distributed ones does not have the proper permissions for execution.

so, can you download again the 3.0.7_b10 installer, open it and copy DL not to /Applications (where i guess you've put the working one) but to the desktop.

make sure ftdi drivers are loaded
sudo kextload /System/Library/Extensions/FTDIUSBSerialDriver.kext

unzip attached file and put the scripts in /Desktop/Dlight.app/Contents/Resources

launch DL and try to connect usbPro via libusb.
if my guess is correct, it should ask you for a password to unload ftdi driver and establish connection

can you try it (be sure ftdi drivers are loaded!)

also, here's a zip of only the executable. i would like you to try it with the installer your download yerterday.
put it in /youyesterdayDLight.app/Contents/Resources

Yes this works, it prompts for password and then connects.
One question there is a large delay when triggering cues from Qlab with MSC. is this with all versions or just these?

hi with both these DL versions there is a bug in MSC. whn you fire the Go cue from qlab, in DL the go button goes red and the software freezes up. sometimes it triggers but after a 7 second delay.

first, this is a good news about usbPro connection!!
about qlab, i've made some tests with the latest qlab and i didn't observed a major delay (maybe 100ms...)
what is your configuration?
from qlab, i select IAC bus
from dlight i select multiple input

does your configuration is different?
do you notice delay whatever the times of the sequence (i mean is it the same with 0" or 10")?

also, i suggest you to open another thread about that.
