Fade times

Could someone teach me how to use the fade times? I see a fade-in and a fade-out time, but do not really know how to use them correctly...
What I would like to achieve is that each step uses both fade-in and fade-out time like this:
step 1 Fade-in 3s fade out 6s
step 2 Fade-in 2s fade out 2s
When ik press the go button to go from step 1 to step 2, I would like the channels that are not used (or lower in dmx value) to fade out in 6 secconds.
But the channels in step 2 need to fade-in in 2 secconds. Is this possible, or must I use these times otherwise?
Thanks in advance!
Piet

tu mets les temps d'apparition sur le premier pas (time in) et le temps de disparition (time out) sur le second.
step 1 Time in 3s Time out ...s
step 2 Time in 2s Time out 6s
step 3 Time ...s Time out 2s
hope help you

But the channels in step 2 need to fade-in in 2 secconds.
so you nee to set the times on step2 with TimeIn=2, TimeOut=6
you can use shortcuts to achieve this on simply hit 2 and double click on the TimeIn parameters, hit 6 and double click on the TimeOut parameter

example:
Step 1 Ti=2 To=0 Channel1=100 Channel2=0
Step 2 Ti=2 To=6 Channel1=0 Channel2=100
When step 1 is active and I press the Go button, Channel 1 goes from 100-0 in 6s amd channel 2 goes from 0-100 in 2 secconds?
Or am I wrong?
Thanks allot!

sooner or later, you'll want to have a look to Time Group (noted TGroup in DL) that allow individual timing for each channel.

-with shortcut:
if X2 is the active register (the green one), you select channel(s) that you want to be controled by a TGroup (for ex ch 1 thru 10),
you type the desired time (1 for 1 second) and you hit the timegroup shortcut ('z' by default)
-with the editor:
you click on the star in the column TGroup for the step you want to set some TGroup.
In the editor, you select the channel you want to be controlled with different times than ones of the step.
you must read vertically like that
Channel
Time
Delay
if you want to set Times, you can use Time shortcut or drag the 0.0 time value
if you want to set Delays, you can use Delay shortcut or drag the 0.0 delay value.
setting a time to 0 for a channel will remove it from TGroup.

I told you..But how can I remove channels from the tgroup, or remove the entire tgroup from a step?
setting a time to 0 for a channel will remove it from TGroup.
to remove them all, just use the ALL shortcut to select them all and set time to 0.
