Hallo Nico and Mac users,
do NOT update OS X to the next version, El Capitan.
The interface Enttec DMX USB PRO (and :Light) will not work.
Enttec is aware of the problem.
This is the answer of Enttec support to my question:
"Apple doesn't allow disabling the in-built driver anymore, which means you cannot use the D2XX driver that most DMX USB Apps rely on
For now, we will advise not to update, till we have more information on a workaround or a solution
There might be other Apps that support the Apple driver - which will allow DMX USB PRO to work on OS X 10.11"
We'll stay tuned,
bye,
Carlo.

Hi Carlo,
that's interesting...
DL do not use at all D2XX drivers...
but DL attempt to unload from the kernel some AppleFTDIDrivers...
which version of DL did you try?
do you have a preview of El capitan? or is it out?

sudo chmod -R 755 /System/Library/ProlificUsbSerial.kext/
sudo kextload /System/Library/ProlificUsbSerial.kext/

Hallo Nico,
thanks for the link.
I have a clean installation of last Public Beta of El Capitan. Definitive version will be released this or next week (we'll know on 9th)
I tried with b46 and yesterday I had an attempt also with b47.
For what I understand problem is SIP, System Integrity Protection. Apple doesn't allow Apps to modify system files. Period.
Kernel Extension could be added or edited only by certified or signed developer.
(Apparent) solution is to disable SIP by access to recovery mode (cmd + R) at boot and via Terminal "/usr/bin/csrutil disable"
Then reboot and d::light (and also Enttec Pro-manager) finds the interface.
For a few times.
Yes because, I don't know why, after a while it stop finding it. I've tried a lot, unsuccessfully.
I had to go to Recovery Mode, "clear" SIP, reboot, new recovery mode, disabling it again and the story starts again.
Odd, no?
That's my report.
Ah: ProlificUsbSerial.kext doesn't exist in my system. Even after disabling SIP.
Thanks a lot,
Carlo.
