Device editing / ETC S4 LED

For a show tomorrow I have to use some ETC fixtures.
They have set them in HSIC-mode and in this mode they have:

Hue - coarse
Hue - fine
Saturation
Intensity
Strobe
Fan Control
Color Point (CCT)

There's also a personality called 'studio' which uses tint.

The personalities aren't allowed to be edited because I'm visiting the venue and don't have the time to change them (and back).

Now I was wondering: I couldn't find hue, saturation, intensity, fan control, color point and tint (yet) in the device editor. Can/should I make these values myself and how should I do it? Should I put them all under "EXTRA" and then change the name of the parameter to the one I'll be using?

I think it's the series 1 since it's the Lustre+ (series 2 has no plus if I read it correctly). I have to trust the technical sheet of the venue and the technical data I downloaded on the ETC-site.

I've made a few personalities right now, should I upload them in this topic? I'm not sure I did them correctly.

By the way: I'm now making the personality of Elation ePar QW, 5ch and 6ch.

Now the dimmer curve is divided in steps and I made them with the [ + ] beneath the offset 5 for the 5CH one.
I hoped I could use this one for the 6ch version too but how can I change the offset number? If I now add another offset it is placed beneath the dimmer curve but I need to swap them (offset 5 to 6 and the new one to 5). Is that possible?

if so, I would suggest you to set the device in DIRECT mode (10CH):
1 – Red
2 – Lime
3 – Amber
4 – Green
5 – Cyan
6 – Blue
7 – Indigo
8 – Intensity
9 – Strobe
10 – Fan Control

thus, you'll be able to use RGB or CMY colorimetrical system of DL.
for the fan, I would set it as EXTRA attribute

in the b55, I've allowed more atributes/parameters to be user defined... but for the b54, only COLOURS and EXTRA can have user defined parameters.

sorry, I wrote for the lustr2...

but for the lustr+v (serie 1) DMX chart looks the same...

can you post the personality you've made in order to clarify the dimmer point?

No problem, I did almost that only different colours. Changing personality isn't an option but I guess - hope they're in direct (general) mode.

Lustr1 Direct mode looks ok except that you should ste offset 2 as YELLOW and not WHITE
you can ask the venue to set them in Direct mode... or set them by yourself at hanging...

you should specify in the Model field the mode of the personality :
S4 Series 1 Lustr+ (Direct mode)
otherwise, they will all appear with the same name in the 'Device listing'... and this can be confuding....


I've looked at the HSI mode.
following is DMX chart for this mode according to the specs:
1 – Hue (coarse)
2 – Hue (fine)
3 – Saturation
4 – Intensity
5 – Strobe
6 – Fan Control

and this is not at all what the personality looks like...
but be carefull as I think I've fixed some bugs for the device editor in the b55 (as I had to do some personality also )
in b54, don't use the 'Remove Attirbutes' because in leads to non sense...
so please start you personality form the beginning each time... boring but fixed....

also for the HIC, I would set Sat/Hue/etc... as COLOR for them to be set under the color label

Ah yes I forgot one can type in Color too. In other attributes (except extra) one cannot type in the parameter field.

By the way: b54 keeps on crashing when I add more than one fixture or remove them. So maybe I should just use 3.0.24 and patch all the channels to the dimmers of the devices and make some subs with colours. The show must not crash...

The Lustr+ has these parameters in direct mode:

1. Red
2. White
3. Amber
4. Green
5. Cyan
6. Blue
7. Indigo
8. Intensity
9. Strobe
10. Fan Control

Why should I change 2 to yellow? Please note that there are other series in which the second volor is red orange or lime, not in this version.

I think it's because several have the same name but not the same parameter numbers

I thought Lime mind yelllow... and as DL understands CMY color, I would try to set C, M and Y in the personality
