D:Light et iPad : le point svp :-) was created by mgai7755
Bonjour,

Thanks Colin.

Indeed, I'm using OSCtouch for iPad. I'm found some layout which looks promising but it didn't found yet how to create/edit scenes using it.

BTW, I discovered that Dlight wasn't so easy to understand. Since you're there :-), could you explain me very shortly the basics of programming scenes and putting them into cues ?

Basically,
  • Create a scene, using command line
  • Save it
  • Add it to a cue or a sub
  • Putting the cue live
Then I'd like to recall the scene to edit it further and save it again.

Let's start using dlight alone, we we'll see what's possible with the iPad later ;-)

I feel really dumb and sorry asking such basics question on the forum, but I really can't find such information on the net. And even when I find some bribes it's still not clear : for example, where is the [Rec] button ?? This is so frustrating.

Of course if there is a place where those things are explained please send me the link !

Thanks

By the way I prefear @mode syntax (much more user friendly imho)

HI,
you may want to try 'Control' as the developped layout is the most active && recent.
it should run well both on ipad and android systems.
layout is here:
github.com/dlight-tools/dlight-pad

Thanks.

I searched google and the app store for this "control" app but could not find it. Could you give me a clue ?

Thanks

Hello

charlie-roberts.com/Control/

for the app and

github.com/dlight-tools/dlight-pad

and download dlPad.js for the DLight layout. If you can't download directly from GitHub to your device, you will need to download the file into the www (or public_html) folder of a webserver (I use EasyPHP on Windows, don't know about Macs' I believe they have one pre-installed)and then download to Control on your device from there.

But...

When I modified Nico's original .js file, I was doing so using an iPod and iOS as my platform, so you may need to tweek the file if you are either using an iPad (and the scaling goes awry) or Android, in which case I have no notion as to whether it works ok. (In principle, it should be platform-neutral, but...

on Android (at least Galaxy S2), it works like a charm...
I even got the feedback working!!

I think we still miss a patch window (to be able to check dimmer, check channel, visualize patched dimmer, repatch,...).
