problem with cue order in sequence was created by homesepia
bonjour,

It's with dlight 2.2 macosX version

If I start recording cues from step 1, order in secuence is ok, but when I add new cues then the first cue I record is putted not on new step but one before the last one.

like this:

I have recorded 2 cues, so have this secuence:

s0 q0
s1 q1
s2 q2

now I'm working in scene mode on step2, make some changes and type '3q', so cue 3 is recorded.
But then the secuence looks like this:

s0 q0
s1 q1
s2 q3
s3 q2

and now the console is on step2, scene mode.
If now I continue recording (4, 5, ..) the new cues always put after last cue number, but it doesn't match anymore with step number, because q2 always moves to new step:

s0 q0
s1 q1
s2 q3
s3 q4
s4 q5
s5 q2

If I work on preset mode it hapens the same.

If I go to secuence window to arrange it, have to change also times and names, and when I come back to continue recording cues It happens the same, the first recorded is putted before the last.

so some help svp... www.nicole-banana.com/components/com_kun.../emoticons/blink.png

and a small bug: dlight closes when making a crossfade (with nanok faders) if there's not a next step.

anyway santé pour dlight!

yo,
first, i can't reproduce the behaviour you describe.....

now I'm working in scene mode on step2, make some changes and type '3q', so cue 3 is recorded.
But then the secuence looks like this:
s0 q0
s1 q1
s2 q3
s3 q2

"R" is the default shortcut to record cues, did you change this to "q" ?
because "q" is the existing shortcut for "cue" (is this shortcut usefull????)

maybe something is wrong when you modify shortcuts.....

do you observe the same behaviour with a fresh show without modifying the shortcuts?

sorry, I made mistake writing the message.

I type '3r' ( I changed shortcut 'R' to 'r').

Now I try it with with a fresh show without modifying the shortcuts, with a brand new re-installed dlight.

I record cues 1 and 2:

s1 q1
s2 q2

I save the show and quit dlight. Then re-open dlight, open the last show, and when recording cue 3, oh-oh, happens the same:

s1 q1
s2 q3
s3 q2

Then I record cues 4 and 5:

s1 q1
s2 q3
s3 q4
s4 q5
s5 q2

bizarre....

i downloaded the 2.2 from the web site
i start DL (wich start after fucking long delay - will have to fix this)

i do:
*create new show
*"R" -> create cue 1, sequence is like
s0 q0
s1 q1

*"R" -> create cue 2
s0 q0
s1 q1
s2 q2

*"3R" ->create cue 3
s0 q0
s1 q1
s2 q2
s3 q3

don't you see this behaviour ?????????

now, if you save this show, quit DL, open DL, open the show, and make '4R'... is here when cue 4 will be putted to step 3 and cue 3 to step 4 (or it happens to me, at last...)

i used "Save" to save the show
quit DL
open DL
load the show
type "4R" and cue 4 is loaded after cue 3.....
so we have a problem if the behaviour is different on mine and your computer...

can you try to remove the DL executable you have before installing a new one and try again?

does anybody else see a wrong behaviour when recording cues?

I found it !

That happens when there are no more empty steps in secuence.

For creating a new show, I use to open an old one and erase all FXs, groups and steps. By this way I keep shortcuts and background color, and each new cue I record DL loads on a new step. But then when re-opening the show and adding new cues, it keeps always the last step on last position and adds the new ones before that.

I see that when making a new show, there are 20 empty steps at the begining and DL automaticaly adds an empty one each time a new cue is recorded. In this case, there's no problem with cue order.

You can try it recording for example two cues in a new show, deleting then steps 3-20, saving it, closing and re-opening it and then trying to add new cues.

Hope it helps...

Hello

Yes I have the same problem.
When I record a new Cue, it is automatically inserted at a wrong step in the sequence.
I have to remove this step, go to the right place, and then insert a new step and affect the new Cue.

Salut

Macbook C2d, OSX 10.5.8, DL2.2, Enttec USBDMX PRO.
