Creating complex Fixtures in Flight was created by NachoL
1. I still have some confusion about creating fixtures. In this example, the Cameo Evos W3, I can't find the Dlight fixture so I create one but get really confused about what to choose for: Running effect macro, Pattern speed, Pan/Tilt Macro, Pan/tilt speed, Device settings
Can someone resume what should I put in this cases?
2. unfortunately I don't have the possibility to rehearse and try different lights, I'm also confused about how to use Dimmer fine, or the fine function in general. I would appreciate an explanation or cases to use this function for.
Thanx a lot, I hope you get time to do the new tutorials with settings and strategies for leds
Thanx again

Hi,
please find attached 2xdld, a simple and complex one about your device.
have a look how I wrote them (I think it's better than a long explanation)

...Ok, I see you write things that are not in the list. I doubted that that was ok. I understand now the procedure. Thanx
...can you explain me in an easy way when should I use the fine Setting? Is it something to include in the palette?
Thanx again

you should set the FINE offset each time you read 'Pan Fine' for example, or a 16bit mention.
>Is it something to include in the palette?
for some parameters, let's say Focus/Pan for example, you can find 2x offsets, the Coarse and the Fine. This is a 16bits fashion which gives you way more control on parameters.
In 8 bits you can access 256 values, in 16bits you can access 65535 values
in DL you generally work with the Coarse offset and it's DL's responsibility to dispatch levels on Coarse and Fine offsets.
Now, if between 2 Coarse values you need more precision you'll want to set the Fine level. In the dynamicBottom there's a 'Fine' case which give you access to the Fine parameter.
so... if you set Coarse to 234 and Fine to 45, Palettes will be recorded with both levels
