Chase taking different timing on different versions of DLight was created by mjodar
Hello,
I programmed a show with version 4.5.02. I've been using this version, until today I updated to the latest version 4.5.14. I realized that some chases are not syncronized with the music anymore. They start good, but time shifted overtime until it is very clearly visible they're not in sync.
I programmed over 20 chases on Dlight for this show, most of them have to be perfectly synced with the music.
I use QLab to trigger submasters on DLight to run chases, as I found it easier to sync with the music with the Timeline view.
I uploaded a video (gif file) showing this, hope you can see what I mean. I opened two instances of DLight, one with v4.5.02 and the other with v4.5.14. No changes have been made to the session, just opened the session in both versions, and triggered the MIDI cue on Qlab, that triggers this submaster. I put the two windows just next to each other to easily see the difference. Just look at channels 101-104, which are some LED bars.
You can clearly see they start the same, and after 5 seconds the chases are on different steps.
On the chase edit view the times are the same, there is no speed submaster.
What could be the reason that chases run different on both versions?
Thanks for your time on the software!

There you have it.
It's mainly on Sub 23 (chase 3) the one that drifted more. I haven't actually seen it on other chases as I was busy re-programming, and not actually looking at the show.
Thanks a lot!!!
