INHIBIT FUNCTION IN A SUBMASTER was created by polillin
I'd like to program a submaster to inhibit, lets say, the frontal light so in case it is too much intensity I can take out some live or in the process of readapting a show to a particular stage.
I put 'inhibit' in a submaster with all my frontal channels at full and click inhibit, but I can't get it working. I also tried with target in "00" but no result. Where am I wrong? Thanks!

Hi,
you have to open the submaster in order to inhib.
the more you'll open it, the more it'll inhib channels inside.

tell me if it's ok.

I do open the submaster and it only marks a square around the channels's level in the circuits screen, but it doesn't reduce the intensities.

OK. I will answer myself. I found the solution in this old post getdlight.com/forum/2-releases/5372-3-0-24-b2#8295

I was working blind, today I connected a PARLED and could verify that DLight does apply the inhibition and marks with a square the channels it inhibits BUT it does not reflect the actual intensities in the sequentiel, right? Even when the light is at 0%, the screen marks your channel at FULL (in my case) with a square around it.

that's it !
inhib does not modify displayed levels, it only applies on DMX output.
the reason is that sometimes you can inhib/scale some levels just for a moment but when you record/update a cue you probably want to record initial levels, not the scaled ones.
