English Manual

Hello all!

I'd really like to try this software (and donate) but I can't get it to do anything but strobe a PAR because all I can do is send a group of channels instead of just 2 of them. An English manual would REALLY help but since I can't read French I'm clueless as to where it might be. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There's one (a bit old, but could be a start) in download section, user manuals, the first one is in english.

But none of it matches what I'm seeing. IK finally figured out how to make a cue but can't get them into a sequence. I see references to objects that just aren't there; "Four buttons are designed to modify the sequence parameters"
???????

Finally figured it out! To enter values you need to type them in the light blue boxes and then the appropriate key(s) to put them in the correct parameter. Time for some sleep and back tomorrow with renewed energy!

@Joe,
well done.
you have 2 ways to type:
RPN where the syntax looks like [x] [CH] [y] [At_Level]
@Mode where the syntax looks like [CH] [x] [At_Level] [y] [ENTER]

you choose the one you prefer.
shortcuts are a great way to use DL. read/learn them, they're explicits.

I found that my saves don't work and I'm guessing that is what the
1 Show = 1 Donation
is about and I am good with that but how does that work? Do I only get to save one show? Do I download a different version somewhere? I'm really starting to lean towards making DL my controller of choice but I want to try some complicated sequences and it will take time butI don't want to lose them as I'd like to try DL at a liver performance.
Pretty nifty software!!!

try to save your work directly on the desktop. The save don't work if there's special characters in your folder's name. The software is completely open, without restrictions even if you don't pay. But if you like it, donate.

COOL!! I'm donating. I have a show on the 14 of December. If all goes well I'll donate again!

A little aside note;
I was looking at another software package and on their forum the main guy threw a nasty attitude at me from thread post #1. Good thing because I started looking and found DL. This forum is a LOT friendlier and helpful so here I stay!

@Joe,
as bgoubert said, if there's a special chararcter in the user name, the save function will fail.
for french users, it's a lot of headache...
try to create a new user with a simple name account(no special char or space) and run DL from this place

No worries, the writing to the desktop works fine and I am able to load and save from the file with no issues. Again, thanks for the help and the nifty software. Having fun with DL and getting it ready for an upcoming gig.
