Dimmer / channel inhibition (request)

One thing that I sometimes do wrong is the following: Inhibition sets the maximum percentage of the channel. That is logical. What is less logical is that one has to set the inhibition to 0 in stead of FF to reset the inhibition. So when I set inhibition to 99 it's almost full but at 100% it's completely off. I think it's a bit counter-intuitive.
Another thing that I sometimes miss is to set a dimmer inhibition. I will explain why:
Sometimes I use multiple lights for one channel. A good example is the audience lighting. I mostly use channel 100 for this. In some venues they use 50 dimmers for the audience light and let's say that 10 of those dimmers have to be max 70% and 10 max 80%, 5 max 90% and 5 max 20%. In a 'normal' desk lighting console one will then change the max level of the dimmers in stead of making more channels and program these in all of your cues (when one uses them there).
Maybe something for future releases?
Oh, one more thing: Can I change the default map setting? When (for example) opening a custom curve I always have to search the hard drive for the right folder.
Cheers, Wilf

you're right, but I did it that way because it looks like the TimeGroup way of operating. What is less logical is that one has to set the inhibition to 0 in stead of FF to reset the inhibition
in the TGroup editor, asking for 0 [TIME] for a channel leads to remove the channel from the editor.
this is why...
totally agree with you.Another thing that I sometimes miss is to set a dimmer inhibition
....
A good example is the audience lighting
I do that with the curves. In a 'normal' desk lighting console one will then change the max level of the dimmers in stead of making more channels and program these in all of your cues (when one uses them there).
but you're right there's a huge difference between setting a max value for a dimmer and setting a max top level for a dimmer.
the first curve look like this
one can choose the way he prefers working, so it can be a part of a future release (you'll need to ask for it again at the next beta stage; I want to publish 3.0.17 asap)
DL is first looking into the folder where all requested files are... that means the (invisible) DLightWorkingSho directory. Can I change the default map setting? When (for example) opening a custom curve I always have to search the hard drive for the right folder.
that is design to be able to copy curve from a dimmer to another without the need to look after the *recently* created curves.

I'm currently running my show in a theater with 12 DMX channels for light consisting of different filaments and made a few custom curves.
By the way: Do you know an easy way to draw a graph and output it to CSV? When Googling every answer is the other way round. I could make it in Pure Data if there is no other way but I'll have to brush up my textfile-writing skills in Pd first...
