Old Strand 'Setup' option terminology was:
Single Digit Level Entry (No <Enter> necessary)
Double Digit Level Entry (No <Enter> necessary)
Command Line Level Entry (Single Digit I think - An asterisk (*) after the command - <Enter> required)
In single digit mode, which is better for >10%...
.1 ('Point' One)
or
01 (Zero One)
?

1-1 is a fair start
let's say there can be a new option in the setup called 'Single Digit Level Entry' associated with a checkbox
if this option is checked, either in @Mode or RPN, a single digit will be processed with *10 operator
[CH] xx [@] 5 will set channel XX at 50%.
to set XX at 5%, you must enter 5. or 05
if 'Single Digit Level Entry' option is not checked,
[CH] xx [@] 5 will set channel XX at 5%.
[CH] xx [@] 50 will set channel XX at 50%.
i think it must control either RPN and @Mode entry style.
if you're all agree, i'll do this for the next beta

I think that's good - but for my taste, .5 rather than 5. (it' a language thing maybe, in English the .5 suggests decimal division, and I think in France the comma (virgule) is used for this, so maybe 5. is better in French? But in any case the alternative option of 01 is a must...

sorry for my english..
I think in french, the 5. is better than .5. It's seem to be more easy to understand.
The name 'Single Digit Level Entry is a good Idea.
Maybe we need in the next step have 2 Setup Menu. 1 for the hardware configuration (DMX, MIDI, OSC, ...) and 1 for the User Interface. With the new options, the Setup menu will be too big to find our childs...

as it works like X., i'll let it like that, and we will see if it's boring later.
@totoine
i don't plan to do so for 3.0.10 (neither for the following one as LED stuff will be time eater...) but i plan to rewrite the setup to belong to user and no more to show...
ack for 'Single Digit Level Entry'

Ok, but it would be important to include the 'Zero + Number' (eg '05' ) mode as well.
