command 'open' on macOS was created by homesepia
bonjour, je suis sur Dlight 2.3.1 macOS 10.6.3 and XQuartz 2.3.5

Since I installed XQuartz I only can open any show one time after installing Dlight. So I work, quit Dlight and X11, then open Dlight and when I type cmnd-o ( or select open in the menu) then appears this window:

(I dont see the image in the post preview, so; that's a window from X11 saying:)

'file operation did not occured!'

I've restarted the computer and tried many things, reinstalled XQuartz many times,.. but at last the only way to solve it is reinstalling Dlight. But always the same, the first time open my shows without problems, but after quitting DL then I have to reinstall it to work.

I'm not sure if the problem comes from XQuartz because I couldn't find the way to deactivate it, indeed erasing all archives on the computer named like org.x..., xquartz, etc, DL opens ok but have the same problem, and when I get info from X11 menu (about...) it always shows 'XQuartz 2.3.5 (xorg-server 1.4.2-apple53)' in the info window. But I'm sure the problem is not from show archives, cause my problem is that DL don't open the 'open' dialog box, so DL don't arrives to read the archive in this case.

so trouble… salut

olla,

can you try with 2.3.2-b2 to see if you have the same error?
also, i get XQuartz 2.5.1_rc1 (xorg-server 1.8.1) in "About X11". i suggest you to upgrade to a more recent version of XQuartz.

'file operation did not occured!'

this is a DL message

olla, ja ja (in spanish this means marmite)

I've installed 2.3.2-b3 and I have no more problem when opening files, voilá.

I've also installed XQuartz 2.5.1_rc1 but in X11 info window still appears as

'XQuartz 2.3.5 (xorg-server 1.4.2-apple53)'

so I'm thinking that maybe there's something wrong in my system and maybe I reinstall all, but that's a job, will see…

merci bien

maybe you have to trash the old X11/XQuartz before installing the new one....
reinstalling a whole system is a huge work!!!

Problem with XQuartz resolved. For any reason, the first time to open DL after installation, OS opens it on X11 (wich contains XQuartz 2.3.5).

The solution is first open XQuartz (2.5.0) and after DL. Next times DL opens in XQuartz.

and...

'file operation did not occured' when opening still happens to me with last XQuartz and DL 2.3.1, but no more with the new b3. Inshallah soon the new release...

salut
