Problem opening show on another computer a été créé par mjodar
Hello Nico,
We had a problem the other day. I was doing a show on the morning, and a different technician had to operate at the next show at the afternoon, with a different computer. So I patched everything, created some new submasters for parLED colours, etc.
Everything worked perfect, then I saved the show and sent him the file expecting when he opened it everything would be working fine.
When the other tech opened the file there was nothing patched, no submasters, and no library for one device we use (some Eurolite LED bar). It was a bit of drama as he couldn't detect all the problems on time, and the show had to start very late.
Anyway, my question is: what is the correct way to save and send a show to someone else, so he can just open it and everything is configured the same on both computers? (patch, submasters, MIDI patch, devices....). What did we do wrong?
I'm on version 4.3.26, and i believe he is on an older version, as he's not really fluent on DLight, and he doesn't like to risk it updating the program....
Thanks for your work on the software!

Hi,
I think that if you send your sho to other people, you or she/he needs to ensure to run the same software version as yours.
(in order to avoid all kind of drama )

Does it makes any difference using the "encode to sho" and "decode to sho" option? What's the use for that option?
